Volkswagen Group is setting up a research centre in Chakan in Pune to accommodate its vision 2.0 project. It plans to invest ₹ 20,000 million to build capabilities to develop vehicles on mid-size SUV based on MQB A0 IN platform.
The centre will also help to develop products that are specially designed for the Indian market. The new centre will house over 250 engineers and plans to achieve 95 percent localization content in products manufactured in India.
