Continental Tyres, has launched new set of tyres specifically designed for electric buses. Electrical bus have abnormal weight due to, heavy batteries in one end and also used to have instant torque delivery. These put different types of stress in tyres which are meant for normal buses.
To address these challenges, Continental Tyres, has developed tyres which need to combine grip, robustness, and above-average load carrying capacity. The new models which have these features are Conti Urban HA3 315/60 R22.5 154/148J (156/150F) tyres meet all these needs. These all-axle tyres for electric passenger buses feature better grip and a load carrying capacity of eight tonne per axle, 0.5 tonne more than the standard for this tyre size.
