Fiat India launches Wrangler in India

Fiat India has launched the fourth-generation Wrangler at ₹ 63.94 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). The iconic jeep will be made available in its five-door guise and in the top-spec Sahara trim level only.

The SUV has a lowered beltline, a tweaked version of Jeep’s iconic seven-slat front grille, headlamps with LED DRLs, larger tail-lamps and rear windscreen. It has other modern features like a 7.0-inch multi-info display, a 7.0-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, a tyre-pressure monitoring system, rear AC vents and multiple 12V sockets and USB ports.

The SUV is powered with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that’s good for 270hp and 400Nm of torque.

The SUV is brought here as a CBU as the government now allows the import and sale of 2,500 vehicles a year without them having to be homologated in India.
