About the Company :
Honda, after dissolving its partnership of Hero Honda, it had set up the company Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd in 2001. It had set up a plant in Manesar with an annual capacity of 1.65 million units. Later in 2011, the company had set up its second plant Tapukara in Rajasthan and later in 2014, the company had completed its third manufacturing plant in Narasapura in Karnataka in Southern India (1.2 million units per year)
In August 2017, the company has commissioned its 4th assembly line in Narsapura which will take its installed production capacity to 2.4 million two-wheelers annually.
In September 2018, the company had signed up a deal with VOGO, a scooter sharing network. Honda will deliver around 1500 Activa 5G scooters around the cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad etc.,
