Hero Electric, has unveiled its high-speed bikes in India. The company has introduced a e-scooter, codenamed AXLHE-20, with two e-bicycles – A2B Speed and Kuo Boost. These new products will be showcases at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018, along with a few new ones, and is likely to be launched in the coming months.
The new electric scooter, AXLHE-20, is propelled by a 4,000-watt motor that produces 6,000 watts, taking power from a lithium-ion battery pack. It claims a top speed of 85kmph along with a maximum range of 110 kilometres in a complete single charge for which it takes around four hours. The bike further gets regenerative braking that saves energy to churn out a few more miles. Telescopic front suspension, alloy wheels and disc brake are among the other key features of the AXLHE-20.
The A2B Speed bicycle can be used in both electric and pedal power modes. In the ele
ctric mode, it takes power from a 36-volt battery that turns a 500-watt motor and provides the e-bicycle with a top speed of 45kmph. It is built on an aluminium frame and the motor comes coupled with eight-speed Shimano XT transmission. The e-bike also gets hydraulic disc brakes and offers a range up to 70 kilometres in a single charge.
The smallest and lightest one, Kuo Boost is an interesting foldable e-bike which can be stored even in your car’s boot. The 20kg weighing model, Kuo Boost is one of the most successful foldable e-bikes worldwide and it claims a top speed of 32kmph. Hero Electric has completed 10 years of electric vehicle manufacturing in India and has launched 15 electric two-wheelers, covering 65 per cent of the respective market space in the country.
