BMW has launched S1000RR super sports bike in India in 3 variants. The Standard model is priced at ₹ 18.50 lakh, while the Pro and Pro M Sport are priced at ₹ 20.95 lakh and ₹ 22.95 lakh, respectively (all prices, ex-showroom, India).
The supersport bike will have a 999cc, in-line four engine and will produces 207hp at 13,500rpm and 113Nm of torque at 11,000rpm – an increase of 8hp over the 2018 model.
The engine now will use BMW’s ShiftCam Technology, which allows variable valve timing (VVT). This tech promises to deliver more performance throughout the rev range. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed unit with an up-down quickshifter.
The bike is also equipped with ABS and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) with four riding modes – Rain, Road, Dynamic and Race – while the Sport and M Package get additional Pro riding modes called RACE Pro 1, RACE Pro 2, RACE Pro 3.
