BMW India has launched the new BMW R 1250 R and R 1250 RT in as completely built-up units (CBUs). They are priced at ₹ 15.95 lakh and ₹ 22.50 lakh respectively (ex-showroom).
The R 1250 R naked bike is clad is a black storm metallic for a classic look and cover many details including the front-wheel cover, front spoiler, tank side trim and rear side panels.
The BMW R 1250 RT tourer has two Special Option 719 finishes – Blue Planet metallic and Sparkling Storm metallic. Chrome elements such as the handlebar weights and windshield trim element underscore the luxurious character of the new R 1250 RT.
These bikes have unique golden brake calipers, radiator cover and stainless steel tank cover and have the powerful 2-cylinder in-line Boxer engine with a displacement of 1254cc, producing a powerful output of 100 kW (136 hp) at 7750rpm, generating a maximum torque of 143 Nm at 6250rpm.
These bikes comes with standard Automatic Stability Control (ASC) ensures a high level of riding safety due to best possible traction. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS Pro) offers even greater safety when braking, even in banking position. Its set-off assistant Hill Start Control is also a standard feature in both models.
