Tata Motors has launched its new engine in ‘Revotron engine series ‘ in petrol and diesel versions. It also launched a matching transmission gear box for the engines. The new power-trains–a 1.2L petrol from the Revotron series and a 1.5L diesel engine from the Revotorq family, are performance-oriented and offer higher fuel efficiency and performance. The four-cylinder diesel engine will offer a maximum power of 110 ps at 3,750 rpm, and a maximum torque of 260 Nm at 1,500-27,50 rpm, while the three-cylinder petrol engine offers a maximum power of 110 ps at 5,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 170 Nm at 2,000-4,000 rp The new engine had been at its in-house facility in Pune with inputs from global majors like Bosch, AVL, Mahale and Honeywell. The new engine will be launched with its new SUV vehicle Nexon.
