BMW has launched its compact luxury car brand Mini Countryman in India. It is priced between Rs 34.90 lakh and Rs 41.40 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes up with petrol and diesel options where petrol (Cooper S priced at Rs 34.90 lakh and Cooper S JCW Inspired at Rs 41.40 lakh) and diesel (Cooper SD priced at 37.40 lakh) engine options. The company sold 421 units of the Mini brand in India last year. It comes with the standard 8-speed automatic steptronic transmission which offers efficient, comfortable and sporty driving due to a broader gear spread and smaller engine speed steps.
