Royal Enfield – a division of Eicher Motors is planning to expand its manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu. The company has signed an MoU with the state government during the Global Investors Meet 2019 to invest over ₹ 15,000 million over a period of five years. The commitment will help the company to avail certain fiscal and monetary incentives.
The company is planning to expand its production capacity in Thiruvottiyur, Oragadam and Vallam Vadagal manufacturing facilities producing vehicles for local and international markets. The company is also planning to invest for setting up the technology centre along the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) in Chennai.
