Maruti Suzuki is planning to set up a solar power plant at its Gurugram plant in Haryana. The company will invest ₹ 240 million to set up a 5 MW solar power plant. The new solar power plant will is expected to be commissioned in the current financial year and will offset CO2 emissions to the tune of over 5,390 tonnes annually, for the next 25 years.
It may be noted that, the company has set up its first solar power plant in Manesar of 1 MW in the year 2014.
