Brakes India Ltd is planning to set up a green field manufacturing facility in Shoolagiri near Hosur in Tamil Nadu. The new facility will be built in partnership with ADVICS, Japan’s leading premium brake system supplier. The new plant will entail an investment of over ₹ 5,000 million. The state government of India will allot around 300 acres of land in Shoolagiri. The joint venture will produce advanced braking control systems, including electronic and software components, with an initial focus on electronic stability control.
