Toyota Kirloskar Motor has the Etios Cross X Edition with a starting price tag of Rs 6.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Kolkata) for the G trim based petrol version. The model is also available in the V trim based diesel option for Rs 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Kolkata), the car has been launched in the eastern part of the country, while the pan India launch has been scheduled for the next week. Both the variants of the new Toyota Etios Cross X gets cosmetic as well as feature updates and costs around Rs 33,000 over and above their corresponding trims.
The edition receives a new quartz brown paint, black front grille and fog lamp bezels, ‘X-Edition’ badges and body-coloured cladding. Interior updates include a carbon fibre finish to the instrument panel and new dual tone upholstery. The car also gets a 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with iPod compatibility and reverse parking camera.
There is no mechanical change in the car and the Etios Cross X continues to run on the same powertrains which are propelling the standard trims. The petrol version gets the 80PS/104Nm, 1.2-litre engine with a 5-speed manual and claims to return a fuel efficiency of 17.71kmpl. The diesel variant offers 68PS/170Nm from a 1.4-litre oil burner and claims 23.59kmpl.
