Olectra Greentech Ltd has launched the 12-Metre Air-Conditioned low floor buses having a capacity of 39+1 (Driver) seats will ply from different locations in the city to the Hyderabad International Airport. Around 5 eBuzz K9 electric bus has been deployed by TSRTC. The lithium-ion (Li-ion) Battery installed in the bus enables it to travel up to 250 plus kms in a single charge. It also has regenerative braking system which enables the bus to recover part of the kinetic energy lost in braking. The battery can be fully recharged in between 4-5 hours. It has Electronically controlled air suspension to ensure a comfortable travel. Apart from that, it also supports Kneeling Mechanism, to provide convenience to specially-abled and senior citizens while boarding or getting down from the bus. The Olectra-BYD Electric Buses are plying between Kullu-Manali under Himachal Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC) for the public. Recently, it has started its operations between Manali-Rohtang pass also. The company is also running its Electric Bus eBuzz K7 in Mumbai under Brihan Mumbai Electricity Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST).
