Maxxis started its own arm of business in India in 2014. The sub-company of Maxxis Group, Maxxis Rubber India Pvt Ltd has set up a manufacturing facility in Sanand in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The plan has a capacity to manufacture two-wheeler tyres and four wheeler tyres and entailed an investment of USD 400 million. It caters to the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) like Honda, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata and Jeep.
In May 2019, the company has tied up with Hero MotoCorp to supply 90/100-10 M6000 53J front and rear tyres for their scooters.
In August 2019, the company is planning to set up 5 manufacturing facilities across India and has an objective to have 15% market share in the Indian two-wheeler market.
