About the Company :
SML Isuzu was originally incorporated in July 1983 in the name of Swaraj Vehicles Ltd. Later in 1984, the company has tied up with Mazda Motors and was renamed as Swaraj Mazda Ltd. The company commenced operations in 1986 with production of trucks and buses .
In the year 2006, the company has tied up with Isuzu Motors of Japan and the name had been changed to SML Isuzu Ltd in 2011, by purchase of stake sale from Sumitomo Corp and Punjab Tractors who held stakes in the company.
In the year 2013, the company has launched Xm -Series Trucks & Buses.
In October 2015, the company is planning to construct an office complex at Asron village in Nawansahar of Punjab with an investment of Rs. 300 million.
