Mercedes-Benz has launched G 350d in India at a price of ₹ 1.5 crore. The G 350d makes use of an electromechanical power steering with a double wishbone suspension at the front and a rigid axle setup at the rear. In was built as body-on-frame with three locking differentials, low-range gearing and 241mm of ground clearance, with a 700mm water wading capability. It even improves upon the G 63’s approach, departure and ramp breakover angles with figures of 30.9 degrees, 29.9 degrees and 25.7 degrees, respectively.
Other luxuries include – leather upholstery, powered front seats, a multi-function steering wheel, push button start, cruise control, auto LED headlamps and wipers, three-zone climate control and ambient lighting are other creature comforts are all part of the package. Safety systems include eight airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, ESC, traction control and hill-start assist.
