Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the fifth-generation model of the Honda Activa. The new 5G version is costlier by around Rs 1,000 than the Activa 4G and is available in standard and deluxe variants, priced at Rs 52,460 and Rs 54,325 (both ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The new Activa 5G gets upgraded features like LED headlamp with positioning light, a smart digital-analog instrument cluster with Eco Speed Indicator and a new front hook for small bags. The scooter also receives a new 4-in-1 lock with a seat opening switch and an under-seat mobile charging port (optional), providing better security as well as convenience. The 5G model also comes in two new Dazzle Yellow Metallic and Pearl Spartan Red colour options alongside the six others from the previous generation model.
There is no mechanical change in the new Activa and it continues to get 8PS of power and 9Nm of torque from the trusted 109cc HET (Honda Eco Technology) engine that conforms to the BS-IV emission standards. The scooter continues with the Honda’s popular Combi Brake System (CBS) technology as a standard feature for safe braking.
