Maruti Suzuki is planning to set up a new production facility in Sonepat in Haryana. The company has been allotted 800 acres in the Industrial Model Township -Kharkhoda. It will invest over ₹ 11,000 crore in the first phase. Currently, Maruti Suzuki has a production capacity of 22 lakhs per annum in Gurgaon, but due to bustling metro city, the company is considering it ideal to expand away to a flexible plant where any model can be manufactured.
