Triumph Motorcycles launches new Street Triple R in India

Triumph Motorcycles has launched the new Street Triple R with a price tag of Rs 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the second variant of the new-generation motorcycle in the country after the base Street Triple S trim which was launched a few months ago. The new design remains almost unchanged as compared to the existing S version, the new RS trim gets sportier bar-end mirrors and a rear seat cowl. The paint options are also new including silver and black. There no change in the ergonomics as well and it continues to offer a perfect balance between sporty and comfortable riding posture. It is the upgraded version of the new 765cc, inline-three engine that has been tuned to deliver 123PS (10PS more than the S) at 11,700rpm and a torque of 77Nm (4Nm more than the S) at 10,800rpm.

The motor comes mated to a six-speed transmission and the RS trim also gets a bi-directional quick shifter as standard. Along with the five riding modes (rain, sport, race, rider and track), the bike also features four level traction control (road, rain, track and off). The advanced ABS also gets three level of customisation including road, track and off.

The 166kg weighing motorcycle is around 2kg lighter than its previous model, which further enhanced the performance. To provide the perfect grip to the high-performance motorcycle, the lightweight alloys come shod with super sticky Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres.
