Volvo launches XC40 SUV in India

Volvo Cars has launched SUV XC40 – an entry level SUV in India at an introductory price of ? 39.9 lakh. The car is powered by a two-liter diesel engine making 190 BHP and equipped with safety features such as 12-inch display and wireless mobile charging, safety features like oncoming lane mitigation, driver alerts and roll stability control besides seven airbags. The car will likely to compete with Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1 and Audi Q3 which are in the same price bracket. The company had sold 2,029 units in 2017 against 1,585 units in 2016. The SUV segment in India is the fastest growing segment.
